The Brownsburg Town Council has announced plans to consider building an aquatic center in Lincolnwood Park. If approved, the facility will feature both indoor and outdoor pools, covering an area of 48,997 square feet. The aquatic center may include a multi-purpose pool, recreational pool, lazy river, slides, zero-depth entry, multi-use rooms, and concessions.
The proposed aquatic center aims to create a modern, public pool facility accessible to families and individuals of all ages and abilities. The center would provide a safe and inclusive environment for swimming, recreation, and outdoor water activities.
To oversee the design and business plan of the aquatic center, the Town of Brownsburg has contracted with Williams Architects, a design, architecture, engineering, and planning firm. Public input has been collected over the years, most recently through the Brownsburg Parks Strategic Master Planning process. The Parks Department is currently conducting a statistically valid survey to confirm that a pool is still a top amenity for the community.
The consultant has taken all the public feedback to create the facility's initial design.
