Brighter Together Virtual Candlelight Vigil2021-03-13T19:00:00Next month, the country will mark the one year anniversary of President Donald J. Trump declaring a national emergency due to COVID-19. To honor those in Hendricks County who have lost their lives during the pandemic, officials representing the towns of Avon, Brownsburg, Danville and Plainfield will come together to host a livestreamed event called “Brighter Together,” a virtual candlelight vigil on Sat., March 13.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the public is asked to stay home and participate in the ceremony by placing a candle in their windows to show their support. The virtual ceremony will be live-streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/hendrickscountycommunityfoundation beginning at 7 p.m.
Nearly 350 luminarias will be placed at Avon Town Hall Park to honor every Hendricks County resident who has passed away from the virus.
