Little Sprouts Nature Discovery

Little Sprouts is a nature-based discovery program designed for preschool ages 2-5. Your little learner will have the opportunity to explore nature through various story-time and hands-on activities that will spark their curiosity! An adult must accompany children. Older siblings are welcome to register if they wish to participate. Please call our Administrative Office at (317) 858-4172 if you have an older sibling to register. $10 per child.

Nature Valentines

During this session, Little Sprouts will explore their love of nature through story time, nature walk, a take-home valentine craft, and more!

Birds of a Feather

Welcome to our preschool program all about birds! We will ignite curiosity and empathy through hands-on activities, story time, and outdoor adventures. Join us as we soar into a world of feathers and fun!

Fabulous Frogs

Dive into our preschool program focused on frogs! We will hop into hands-on activities, story time, and outdoor explorations sure to spark the curiosity of your little. Join us for a ribbiting adventure into the world of these fascinating amphibians!

Wondrous Weather

Step into our Little Sprouts program all about weather! Through fun activities and outdoor adventures, we ignite curiosity about the elements while nurturing a love for learning. Join us as we explore rainbows, clouds, and sunshine, sparking a fascination with the world around us!

Earth Day

Join our Little Sprouts Earth Day program! We inspire young minds through hands-on activities, nature walks, and eco-friendly crafts, fostering a deep connection to our planet. Let's celebrate together and sow the seeds of environmental stewardship in the hearts of our little ones!

Great Backyard Bird Count 2024

Join our park’s naturalist in the annual Great Backyard Bird Count. During this global event, participants will watch, learn, and count all the wonderful birds in Brownsburg. With your help, we can better monitor and protect birds around the world! All birders are welcome and binoculars are encouraged. Natural and gravel terrain with some slopes. 

After the event, a complete list of identified birds and their numbers will be summited through the Cornell Lab of Ornithology eBird app.

  • Location: Williams Park, Meet at Maple Ridge Trailhead near shelter 3. Parking available by the splash pad.


Mindfulness Hike

Immerse yourself in the serene beauty of nature as our naturalist leads you through a journey of mindfulness. This hike is more than just a walk; it's an opportunity to connect with the present moment, surrounded by the soothing sounds of the outdoors. Engage in mindful breathing, appreciate the rustling leaves, and find peace in each step.

Morning Bird Hike

Join our Naturalist on an early morning stroll through various trails. All birders are welcome, and binoculars are encouraged. Moderate hike on natural terrain. Free to attend.

Wildflower Hike

Embark on a fascinating journey into the enchanting world of mushrooms during our Fungi Foray! Join our naturalist as she leads you through the forest, unveiling the hidden treasures beneath the canopy. Learn about the diverse shapes, colors, and roles these mysterious mushrooms play in our ecosystem. Discover the magic beneath your feet and cultivate a newfound appreciation for the incredible diversity of nature on our Fungi Foray!
