SAFE SITTERS

       

 



 


 

Safe Sitter is a medically accurate, hands-on, class that teaches boys and girls ages 11 to 13 how to handle emergencies when caring for children.

Safe Sitters learn:

  • What to do if a child is choking

  • Safety for the sitter

  • How to call for emergency help

  • Babysitting business skills

  • Basic child care skills; diapering, feeding, etc.

  • How to entertain children and keep them safe

  • Preventing behavior problems

  • Injury prevention techniques

Space is limited for the one-day class.  Students must be 11 to 13 years old by date of the class.  The cost is $45 per student. Students receive a Safe Sitter manual and certification card upon completion of the class.

All classes are one-day classes from 9:30am to 4:00pm with a parent meeting at 4:00pm lasting approximately 15 min.  Students must bring a sack lunch and drink.  Classes will be held at the Brownsburg Headquarters 470 Northfield Dr. Brownsburg, In. 46112

Print and complete the registration form and mail it in with payment to reserve a seat.  Reservations will be confirmed once payment is received.  Checks should be made payable to Brownsburg Fire Territory and mailed to Brownsburg Fire Territory , 470 E. Northfield Drive , Brownsburg , IN 46112 .
